Project Ecotower

2012

An answer for the demand for a compact vertical village with ecofriendly and sustainable possibilities.

By looking at the social problem, which is maybe a bigger question than the architectural one, I tried to find a good solution for the design question. The extravert character of a tower and the introvert character of a village are being combined and together form a collection in circular shape. Mainly designed with wood materials in its design and core, the building stands free in nature and uses this to its advantages in ways of self-sustainability. It will become one with its surroundings over time. The design focusses on its inhabitants and environment.
